Armazist terrorism
Armazist terrorism comprises terrorist acts which are committed by groups or individuals who profess Armazist motivations or goals. Armazist terrorists justify their violent tactics through their interpretation of the Myths, in accordance with their own objectives and worldview. These interpretations are typically different from those of established Armazist denominations such as the Armazist Church or the Homeric Church. These terrorist acts can be committed against members of other Armazist denominations, adherents of other religions, secular governments, groups, individuals or society. Armazism can also be used cynically by terrorists as a rhetorical device to achieve political or military goals. Armazist terrorist groups include paramilitary organizations, cults and loose groups of people that might come together to attempt to terrorize other groups. Some groups also encourage terrorist acts by unaffiliated individuals. The paramilitary groups are typically tied to ethnic and political goals as well as religious ones and many of such groups have religious beliefs at odds with conventional Armazism.
History
Terrorist groups
The following groups have been considered religious terrorist organizations in Armazist-majority countries such as Aetolia and Varkana:
- Children of Gaia (Aetolian: Παιδιά της Γαίας, Paidiá tis Gaías; Varkan: გეას შვილები, geas shvilebi), a radical group of ultra-Orthodox Armazists based mainly in Orthodox neighborhoods in Varkana and Southern Aetolia. They are notably responsible for the 1993 Sioni church attack.
- TT was a radical religious Armazist underground organization which operated in Kastruneto between 1971 and 1992, against the suppression of religious minorities by Catholics in the country.
