Aero (Aetolian: Aέρω; Varkan: აერო; literally "air") a Varkano-Aetolian aircraft manufacturer headquartered on the grounds of Borjomi International Airport in Borjomi, Central Varkana. It is notable for producing the L-29 Maia, L-39 Albatros, and the L-159 Alca military light combat jets. History

In the 1950s, Aero started developing the Aero L-29 Maia.
