Jumia (Jumian: TBD) is a sovereign stated in East Fosia. Jumia shares its land borders with Zong to the north and west, and Fenia to the south. It shares its maritime borders with Hitani through the Sea of Hitani. Its capital and largest city is Yuji, located inland, in the west of the country.

Jumia was a Coastal satellite in the Great Adonian War. In the late 1950s, a military coup under Field Marshal DUDE deposed the monarchy and installed a presidential republic. In the early 1960s, Jumia entered a period of rapid economic growth and industrialization called the "Miracle on the RIVER". In the late 1980s and early 1990s, Jumia transitioned from a one-party military dictatorship to a multi-party democracy. Jumia is a developed country, ranking ??th in GDP per capita by purchasing power parity. It is ranked highly in terms of political and civil liberties, education, health care and human development.

Jumia is a founding member of the Huwei Pact and the Fosian Association for Regional Cooperation (FVRZ), and a member of the Adonian Community, the World Monetary Fund and the Shendan Economic Cooperation (SWG).

Etymology

Jumia is an ethnonym for the region in the Jade languages. It comes from the Jade characters 苴 chu (hemp) and 咩 mia (the bleating of a sheep) in Standard Zong. Literally, it refers to a land of sheep.
